Disclaimer

1. Content of the online offering

The author does not assume any liability concerning the topicality, correctness, completeness or quality of the information provided. Any liability claims against the author, which refer to material or non-material damage, and which may be caused by the usage or non-usage of the information provided or, respectively, by the usage of any incorrect or incomplete information, is generally excluded unless in cases of evidenced willful or gross negligence on the author’s side. All offers are non-binding and non-obligatory. The author explicitly reserves the right to change, supplement and delete parts of the pages or the whole offer without giving separate notice or to discontinue their/its posting for a certain period or altogether.

2. References and links

For direct or indirect references to third parties’ websites (“links”) not within the author’s scope of responsibility, a liability commitment applies only if the author has taken notice of the contents and would have technically been able to and could have reasonably been expected to hinder use if illegal contents were involved. Therefore the author explicitly declares that the corresponding linked pages were free of illegal contents at the point in time at which the links were set. The author has no influence whatsoever on the current and future design and the contents of the linked/connected pages. Therefore the author hereby disassociates itself explicitly from all contents of linked/connected pages which are changed after the link was established. This statement applies to all links and references published within the author’s own Internet offer and for third parties’ entries in guest books, discussion groups, and mailing lists set up by the author. Liability for illegal, incorrect or incomplete contents and particularly for damages resulting from the use or failure to use information presented in this manner lies solely with the supplier of the page referred to, not with the party merely referring to the respective publication via links.

3. Copyright and trademark law

The author strives to respect copyrights to all graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts used. It further strives to utilize graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts it has created itself or to make use of graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts not subject to licensing. All brands named within the Internet offer and where applicable brands and trademarks protected by third parties are subject without restriction to the pertinent provisions of current trademark law and the ownership rights of the respective registered owners. Mere naming of the products by no means implies that brand names are not protected by third parties' rights! The copyright for objects the author itself has published remains with the author of the pages. Reproduction or use of such graphics, sound documents, video sequences and texts in other electronic or printed publications shall only be allowed with the author’s express written permission.

4. Privacy Statement

M+M fully respects the privacy rights of visitors to their website. The following text serves to inform the user of the manner in which their data shall be used.

4.1. Collection, Processing, and Disclosure of Personal Data

4.1.1. The collection, storage, processing and transfer of personal data shall only take place to the extent necessary in respect of the business relationship with you and in compliance with legal regulations.

4.1.2. The user may visit the M+M web pages without disclosing any personal information. M+M merely stores non-personal access data, such as number of hits on a specific page. This data is only evaluated to improve the M+M offering and allows no monitoring of the user.

4.1.3. Personal data is only collected by M+M if the user voluntarily imparts this information to M+M as part of the registration for an event held by M+M, a message (e.g. request for an offer) or when registering for the M+M newsletter.

4.1.4. When registering for the newsletter, the e-mail address and if necessary the name of the user (if the user’s name is specified) is only used for own marketing purposes, until the user unsubscribes from the newsletter. The user may unsubscribe at any time. The same applies if the user registers as a follower via Twitter to receive M+M Twitter messages.

4.1.5. M+M shall not forward the user’s e-mail address to third parties. A transfer of customer data to third parties shall only take place to the extent required for order processing (e.g. for shipment) or the shipment of advertising materials by postal delivery.

4.1.6. M+M frequently sends the latest information on its products or special offers by e-mail, if the user has stated their approval when entering their e-mail address. The user however may at any time refuse such information, e.g. when entering their e-mail address. In this respect, reference is made to point 3 of this privacy statement.

4.2. Facebook Button

4.2.1. On its website, M+M makes use of plugins by the social network facebook.com (http://www.facebook.com), Facebook Inc., 1601 S California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304 USA (hereafter “Facebook”). These plug-ins are identified by the Facebook logo or a corresponding notice. A list and the images of Facebook Social Plug-ins can be viewed at developers.facebook.com/plugins.

4.2.2. Once the user clicks the button the Facebook plug-in establishes a direct connection between the user’s browser and the Facebook servers. M+M has no influence on the data transmitted during this process nor does it receive any knowledge of this data, as the transmission does not take place via the M+M website, but directly between the user’s computer and Facebook. The information that the user had been on the M+M website as well as the user’s IP address is transferred. If the user is signed into Facebook at the same time, this information will be allocated to the user’s Facebook account and a connection between this information and the user will be made. The same applies if the user presses the button and enters a comment. If the user is a member of Facebook and would not like Facebook to register his visit to the M+M web pages and allocate this information to their Facebook user data or account, the user must log out of Facebook prior to this.

4.2.3. The user can find further information on the scope of data collection, further processing and usage of data collected by Facebook in the Facebook Privacy Statement at www.facebook.com/note.php. Here the user can find information concerning their rights and the settings they can change to protect their own privacy.

4.3. Information on the usage and deletion of data

The user is entitled to obtain information about their personal data recorded by M+M. The user may ask for the correction, blocking or deletion of their personal data. To do so, the user must send a written request by mail or e-mail to Meyle+Müller GmbH+Co. KG, Maximilianstr. 104, D- 75172 Pforzheim or info@meyle-mueller.de.
